No more quading =[

Im sorry to hear that, i ride in public roads all the time with my dad and one thing i respect is speed, sure everytime i see a straight i push my quad to da limit but i know the consequences and because i know the chances of me crashing in that straight line are slim. About two months ago i lost my cousin in a car accident,he was speeding and ive learned from that. As for the parents my dad knows i ride very well still he doesnt let me ride alone unless its in our private property, i wish he would let me ride alone because i know im not gonna go stupid on me and go 60 mph on a turn and crash because i know if i do that they will never let me touch a quad again. All my friends in school they ride alone in the roads, for 3 years none of them havent even had the slightest problem, why? cause we are mature people who know that speed is fun but on a public road its *bam* or death.

Im not dissing on you guy's i feel really bad and for the fact that people said that he was too immature or little to ride the banshee thats bullsh*t if an accident going to happen its going to happen even if you are going at 20mph. Thats how i live my life, thats why i enjoy every minute of the day because if your gonna die in 12 minutes whose to say no, How many people die in car accidents? Alot, but did all of them die because of speeding? NO THEY WERE PROBABLY DRIVING WELL AND SOME IDIOT HIT THEM! My prayersto both of you and hope you get better.

people are going to crash no mater what yes but driveing over 60 mph with no rear brakes...... you call that a accident i am surprised he didnt crash sooner

i think alot on these forums push their blasters to the max with no rear breaks... rear brakes werent exactly the strong point of the blaster. i know i regularly top mine out in 6th with 14/38 gearing and no rear brakes (will have hydro's working within a couple days) the secret is knowing when and where to top it out with no rear brakes.. gotta be smart if you plan to do it without rear brakes or you wont last long. im dying to get my brakes working again tho. it would be nice knowing they are their just waiting on me to call on them to do their job instead of hanging there like a limp noodle

and you wonder why your dad wont let you ride alone?

^^^excactlly^^^ besides riding alone isnt a good idea any way accidents can happen to anyone at any speed. things can ware out, catch fire, blow up, chains snap and go flying, tires pop, brakes fail (more often than not on blasters), other people are stupid, throttles stick open, lights burn out, Ect...
well you get the point

I'm 25 married and have a kid, And I still usually ride with my dad and I never ride alone (Except to test & tune in my yard). Its just not very smart or fun for that matter.

or you could even be stupid like me and ride the edge of the trail to miss a washout and end up nipping the edge of your tire on a tree and flip face first lol it can happen at 10 mph. just glad it didnt break anything

ok ive been misunderstood, im ok with my dad not letting me ride alone, one should never ride alone what i meant with riding alone was with an adult, my friends when they go riding they always go together with proper gear and first aid kit and cellphones. ANd Valhalla im not saying it isnt there fault that he crashed the banshee, going fast isnt smart part of it was his fault.

^^^^^^ Well said^^^^^ My sentiments exactly.

I put off responding to this thread not knowing what exactly to say, but you said it perfectly. Its very sad to see someone get hurt, but its good to hear although you both are banged up pretty badly that you lived to pass on your new found wisdom to others.

Hope your friend recovers well, and while bones will heal you will both have to deal with the emotional scars, and the hard lesson learned that day for the rest of your lives.

My kids are really good riders, but every time they hop on a quad I get a light chill worrying that something like this could happen. My sentiments also go out to both your parents who also have to live with the decision to allow their kids to ride beyond their limits.

Take this experience, what you went through, and how it affected you and share it with as many people as you can. You may have an effect on someone, and it may possibly save someones life in the future.

All in all its a blessing that you guys lived through this. Im sure you and you friend will be a lot closer from now on, and appreciate life on a whole new level.

I agree sometimes the lessons we learn in life are not easy. It is good that you both made it alive and to tell about it! Perhaps by this happening to you both you can use it for good and help teach others not to re-visit the same lesson. May God heal you both physically and emotionally!

it looks WAYY better..the big strip is where they had to put the rods in..and thats his stitches...and hes got road rash on his knee..and the white thing is his cast for his shattered foot

Sure accidents can happen anytime, but why take unnecessary risks to greatly increase the chance of an accident.. These machines are dangerous by nature, and you have to maintain a certain level of respect for the danger involved, and weigh the risks before you go and do something that could very easily end you life.... Its all about responsibility ! Think BEFORE you act, not regret it after.

All in all I hope you guys recover well, and are able to learn from this aweful experience. Maybe, just maybe your story here could help others to think twice before they act.... Essentially your story here may actually save anothers life..

Take care, and recover well. Your friend is very lucky that you were there to help him. Well done in that respect.

idk what i did to deserve this..i must be a bad kid..cause now i broke my other knee..and i have the flu
