dude my prayers go out to you and your friend, it always sucks to see someone get seriously hurt when they are riding

joe is 13- goin on 14 and hes been racing quads sence he was 9, hes had his banshee for 3 years now..never crashed once, he raced MX at a local track

i dont care how long he has been racing ATV's. no 13 year old is anywhere near mature enough to handle a 100+ MPH machine without supervision. at least he is alive to tell his story of what happened. theres a reason that ATV's 200cc and below are recommended for people under the age of 16. im sorry that you guys just had to find out the hard way as to why that is.

well sence i dont have rear brakes, i downshifted from 6- to 1 and jammed the front brakes, it snapped the piston and cracked the rod, and i flipped my quad on myself..i didnt even care i got up and pushed it off myself..and ran to my friend when the medics came i like fell and couldnt get up....cuz my knee was broken

they took his cathitor out, (OUCHIE) and they put a rod in his leg and put plates in his hip...
they do the recnstructive surgery on his foot tomorrow..
and i have to go for surgery at the end of this month

Man that sux, hope you guys heal up allright. Those pix really make me think twice about how I ride. I was riding with a friend on a 660 grizzily and he was following my dad and me, he said there were times he looked down and his speed-o-meter was reading 68mph and he said we were pulling away like he was sitting still. this was in some pretty tight trails. At first I thought it was cool but after seeing those pix of that tree I'm kinda thinking I should slow down a little bit. leave the power for the hills and the tracks.

Oh. yeah and yet another reason to ALWAYS use a helmet while his helmet may have cracked. No helmet would have been alot worse. once again my prayers go out to you guys.

i kknow i learned a good lesson...dont ride on the road especialy at 70 mph..and he learned, he hates 2 strokes

yup exactly why i traded my blaster...Cuz i was always standing on the throtle cuz its a 2 stroke so i was always doign 65mph to 70mph down tight trails. Now i got a 4 poke but it still do 65mph but u have the ability to go slow without having to clutch all the time. Glad u 2 are ok.

hmm thats wierd mine i can let get all the way down right till its ready to die and give it a little gas and shes right there once more but then again everything in mine is new now

oh mine did to but with the 4 stroke i dont even gotta give it gas.I can just shift threw the gears all the way to 5th and it wont stall...oviously i half to downshift for the hills but i like not having to give it gas to go.

cant be dissing a 2 stroke and now i really know how unexp he was not being ok with engine braking. try that on a street bike << i ride one every day >> and its crazy on a street bike you get used to it with EXPERIENCE 17.5k redline on my r6
