I always do it from the inside of the cylinder aswell but like yfs101 said it's risky. dremmells are not forgiving on the cylinder wall. if u want to try it get a practice jug or atleast practice controlling the bits on a piece of scrap aluminum. most automotive shops discard/recycle intakes and cylinder heads off cars and they would be great to "get the feel of it".LOTS of multiple layers of duct tape(gorrilla) covering everything that might be suseptable to damage may help if ur tool kicks or gets away from u. A Dremel 225 Flex Shaft Attachment (snake tool)has a flexible, 36-inch shaft that attaches easily and adds an improved level of versatility to your project capabilities. this tool allows you to see what u are doing and adds tremendous amount of clearance to work at angles in confined areas. I've used the name brand and knock off versions and love them!!!! Practice and patience pays off big when you can feel the power a port job adds!!! within the next few weeks i will add a vid of me cutting triple exhaust ports and perhaps even mapping port timing. I'm a self taught novice with a motto" I alway's try to learn from all of my mistakes, but i would much rather learn from someone else's".
