hi all
got a blaster recently and it had front disk brakes (seems to be yamaha warrior hubs disk and spindels with upper balll joint removed and rewelded a warrior ones) might make a post about that for futur people. i havent looked to much into it, it works
anyway here is my rear brake settup, it came with the caliper and rear mounted welded. but brake line was sshot and masster cylinder mounted on the footpeg reversed so the pedal would push it from the round cable mounts (i guess it worked befor) but didnt feel like doing it the same having the master cylinder next to my feet.
so i mounted it were every quad has it., al i did was weld a extended piece onto the brake pedal. the master cylinder is mounted without welds. (hope it holds up)
so here my first set up, mastercylinder off a adly 300 quad i extended the push rod.
so this is the new setup cause the old master cylinder was SHOT i didnt know this one i toke apart cleaned sanded and it works again its of a china 125 pit bike it locked up the brake i replaced it with a quad brake cylinder, now i revived it, didnt think it woudl be able to save it.
anyway here is how i mounted that one.
i know its crocked but what ever the push rod is broke off it just pushed into there not welded or something. si lets hope it wont fell out.
ow andd this is the rear brake mount and mod (i guess its also a warrior rear brake caliper cause it has a handbrake) im not sure. he could atleast have used the warrior footpegd andd brake pedal... i added the hardware it came with nothing. you make with what you find laying around
i hope it helps someone for futur mods of rear brake. hydro conversion.
