What mods do you have now?

Where do you want your power, low/mid or top?

well i know my motor has had motor work done to it because mine was alot faster than the other blasters but once we tear the motor wown we are gonna see whats done to it and then if it hasent had anything done to the head im gonna have it sent off and have it rechamberd and milled

Head work is definately worth the cost, and it will show improvements in the power output. If you're getting a new pipe, skip the FMF and spend the money on either a Toomey Racing or a Trinity pipe. Don't let anybody tell you differently; Toomey pipes rip on both an unported-stock, or ported-stock-jug Blaster engine. I like my Trinity right-bend pipe on my ported Blaster engine, but keep in mind I'm planning ahead since I'm gonna be building a 4mil stroker this or next winter. I used to own two Blasters with FMF pipes, and though they DO show an improvement over stock, I think there are better choices.

VF3 reeds will aid in throttle response, and they may improve power a little bit, but they are not a 'miracle solution' to more HP.

See if you can find a good used Mikuni TM or Keihin 28 or 32/33mm carb on ebay or elsewhere. A larger carb, combined with head work and a good pipe, will help power output noticably.

Keep an eye out on CL and ebay. You never know what may turn up used. You can often get an older 34mm TRX or ATC 250r carb off ebay for $ 75.00 or less. Same goes for used pipes, although if you can find one for $ 75.00 or less I'd be shocked. Still deals to be had, tho.

What 200 Honda outran you? I don't remember any Honda 200 2 strokes and if you have engine work and was outran by a 200cc 4 stroke, something is wrong.

it was a 4 stroke (thats why my dad wants to build the motor) they dident say what they did to the motor but it must have ben built out the ass and they also had a 05 blaster with a yz250 carb on it and same pipe as mine and mine was still faster than the other blaster ( and my rings are starting to get a lil.worn because it is lousing comperision

Without spending a sh*t ton of money the yz250 swap is pretty common and easy.

Are these drag races or what?

If i was you id call kor and tellem what youre trying to do and what you want to accomplish and go from there.

Man, your compression must be down some, you can run faster than a 200cc 4 poke.:D

If you want to raise your compression some before the rebuild, change from 32:1 to 25:1, but put in one size bigger main jet, to compensate for the leaner mix!

there were 2 other blasters out there one was bone stock the other had a bigger carb and dg pipe and mine hasa dg pipe and stick carb and it was faster than them
