Well after completly rebuilding my blaster. Its probably going to be sold :( my mom needs money to buy a new car and parts for her durango. So the blaster is on the chopping block. I don't know if id rather part it or sell it as a whole, but either way its going to go.

Eventually I will get another, but the good thing is whatever she buys will be mine after hers is fixed. Hopefully ill get anothef blaster by next year for awks but I doubt it.

Damn, that sucks! Ive sold more than one quad to get money to travel or pay a bill, and its not fun. I lost a Banshee that way. :(

Not trying to pry, but why does your mom need two vehicles? I mean, you mentioned her getting a new ride plus parts for a Durango. Couldn't she hold off on buying another vehicle and just fix the Durango so you could keep your Blaster for now?

i gotta agree with braaap here, this does suck for you after you've worked so hard to build your blaster
but i gotta add....that durango's fuel milage is the root of the money problem, them things suck fuel
time for mom to find something cheap and good on gas to get her by until she can afford to fix that gas guzzler
on her own

Well she's looking for something decent on gas, but I talked and argued about it for 2 hours last night and it might be staying. She got some extra money back from work and she got a second job.

The main reason we need to vehichles is because I'm getting my liscence in october and am going to need something to drive. Plus she's trying to keep some miles off of the durango. Its got almost 200,00 and the trannys on the durangos don't like to last longer than 80,000 miles.

Good luck with getting it all worked out! Hopefully you get to keep the Blasty!

As far as that Dodge lasting...its all about how well you take care of it. Even something old and worn will keep on going if kept up. My mother-in-law got over 100,000 miles out of an all-stock Chevy Vega, complete with its original aluminum engine! She later traded it in (still in good running condition) on something newer.

I have 200K on my wife's S10 Blazer and it is still going strong.

The old Flathead 8hp Briggs and Stratton engine on my riding mower is almost 30 years old and still on its original set of piston rings. It almost always starts in one pull and doesn't burn a drop of oil.

Bottom line is, I'd say that if something which is supposed to last only 80K miles is still going after 200K +, you're doing something right! I:I

Well I get to keep the blasty and the dodge is fixed!

The dodge is maintained very well. I change the oil everytime its due within 500 miles. The only thing that went wrong with it that needed fixed was the cv half shafts and I helped put them in. We ended up scraping her first car(s10) and some other stuff that was sitting out at my grandmas. We did keep the tranny and motor out of the s10 though because its still really good. But the important part is I get to keep the blasty!

Call me a selfish prick but no way in hell would anyone (including my mother) sell my toys to fix their own sh*t!Especially a stinking dodge!

Tell ur mom to get a civic theyre cheap, easy to fix,and underpowered so they dont use much gas.

Option 2 depending on her health and age is a bicycle lol

Now of course if you didnt fund this quad and she did then technically its hers to do with as she chooses.

Glad you are keeping it though!
