Now I Know MOST Of You Hate The Twist Throttle But I Decided To Give It A Try (Worst Comes To Worst I Can Allways Sell It Back On E Bay) I Bought the Vitos: YAMAHA BLASTER CR STYLE TWIST THROTTLE KIT 1988-2006 - eBay (item 200510524126 end time Mar-18-11 09:49:16 PDT)

Do I Have To Take Off The Tors Completely I Really Dont Want To In Case I Want To Switch Back To The thumb Throttle (Or the person who inherits the bike after i die in a crash for not listening to you guys) and i really dont feel comfortable drilling into my carb to put the idle screw on I want to install it this upcoming weekend Any Thoughts, Input, Suggestions???

with that kit, yes, you have to eliminate the tors

and switching back to thumb throttle would be no big deal, just put the old throttle back on and get a new cable.

Don't worry bud, it's worth it. I'm one of the very few guys on here that run a twist throttle. I have a cr type also. Easy to adjust, fun to ride with, and everyone has to admit that when you crank that throttle down, it looks cool. =] As for the TORS, it causes lots of problems in the long run so removing it would be a good thing to do.

^^Agreed! You will have to drill out your carb, but its not too hard to do... Here it is explained in detail. It is almost impossible to mess up after reading here:

And don't let people scare you away from twist throttles. Not everybody likes them, but they can be fun and you just have to get used to it. I had a Banshee with a CR style twist throttle and loved it. I never wrecked because of throttle problems. I may run another twist throttle on my Blaster project when she gets done.

Just be sure to clean the handlebars well before sliding the twister in place. It must return to idle smoothly without binding. Any kind of throttle is scary when it gets stuck.

Oh yeah guys! And when you are first getting used to it, just watch catching air or ripping wheelies. I popped a wheelie and got air and I slid back and wound the throttle out on accident, went through a ditch, over a medium tree, clipped a shed but didn't get a scratch. lol So just work your way into it.

my last experience with a twist throttle ended with me wheelieing out of control on my buddies cr125 into the woods lol

needless to say i'm 100% thumb throttles now, ripped the one that was on my zilla off as soon as i got it

I have a Twist throttle on my Blaster , and yeah , I've had the " see'in jesus " moments with it , My banshee has a thumb throttle , and its staying that way . You can get used to it , just takes practice
