hey guys,
just got a call from ken, apparently his area got hit pretty hard by hurricane Irene, everyone is OK, but..............
his house and shop are without power, his cell phone has to find roaming signals to get thru, in and out, and he cannot access his voicemail
he had to drive a ways to find signal to call me.
he has no internet connections at either place
the power companies are telling him 4-5 days for power at his shop, and prolly longer for the house, cell and internet signals are unknown
so Ken wanted me to relay, to any current or future customers, that he is not ingoring your calls or messages, he is just not getting them at this time
and he will return any calls, PM's or emails, asap when the power, cell and internet services resume

thanx for the patience and understanding

Re: Ken oconnor racing hurricane snafu

At first I was thinking his shop got destroyed or something. :o

Glad he's ok. Sucks not having power though.

no damage to shop or house, everyones parts/cylinders/motors are all good to go
just no power for a few more days, so if you were expecting somehting from ken,
i'd say theres prolly gonna be a delay

i'm waiting on new Bilstein shocks for my truck from shockwarehouse.com
ups tracking says they left orlando fla, show them in jacksonville, it did say enroute to new stanton pa. now it just says NATURAL DISASTER.............WTF !!!!!!!!!!

You northerners laugh at us when we get a few inches of snow and everything grinds to a hault.... how do you like THAT?! :p

Glad to hear he's ok though!

I only laugh at the lack of driving skills in the snow, hahahahaaaa

a few days without power? welcome to a day in the life of an african!!:) although here the cables just get stolen, not destroyed by hurricanes! hope you guys get it all sorted out fast over there!

SI the worst we get up here in a while was the blizzard of 78. Look up what it did to ohioans. Now that was a bad @$$ storm. and muggy weather when we dont want it. but for the most part are summers are probably like your fall's mid to low 80's with 50-60humidity just right with nice breazes.

wow, just watched the news, connecticut really got rocked by this !!!!!!

my parents house in bayboro Nc is under water right now, there mailbox was deep sixed they watched their sh*t float away. while my mom was at work my stepdad was driving away with water coming in his truck, no power or cell signal it comes and goes, they are ok but they lost their née John Deere tractor and are loooking at damage in the possible hundred thousand range with the house being under water and the cars and all misc items, glad they had flood insurance, it's been pretty sh*tty with the national guard taking my mom to the hospital, they are in a hotel right now, a lot of places hot hot pretty bad

Just woke up to find the power on. SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!! Internet is also back up. I'm not sure about the shop yet. Porting and boring run on single phase power. If I don't have juice at the shop, I'll start working out of my basement till I get it back. I'll return all calls today. Thanks for your patience.

Glad you made it out Ken. Here's some pics of the house and trail carnage on my end.
