Answers are,

Heels, or no heels.

Pain, or no pain.

Brain, or no brain.

They dont stop at skin, Awk can vouch for that.

search for ..."work boots no heelgaurds"

ps.....helicopter rides on morphine ROCK !!!!!

I've tryed running heel guards and my heel kept smacking the bottom of them when I would land off of jumps so NO heel guards for me!

I'm used to the floor board feel because of my Outty. The day I put them on, I knew I would never be without them again. My girlfriend likes them too, it's a definite comfort.

That story is gnarly. I cringed twice, at the idea of your foot getting yanked backwards, and the idea of the helicopter ride. I am SSSSOOOOOOOOOO making my girlfriend read that story, seeing how she is the one riding the blaster the most when we ride together. I had to laugh at the one post though, about the guy talking about the bike riders that slowly tip over at stop lights because they can't put their foot down...I've seen that happen 3 times, I laughed so hard I farted each time. My bike snapped one of my shoe laces one morning heading to work and I can't recall how many times as a kid my shoelace got wrapped around the pedal....thank God they came out with Velcro.

I dont know how many times i have ran over my leg because of no heel guards.
It kinda hurts. Its worth the look for the quad in my opinion.

My lad was torn off his bike at low speed last week.

He runs heel guards, he had occasion to foot and the rear rubber plucked his boot and smartly removed him from the bike.

Luckily it only gave him a rubber burn up the back of his leg and a little gravel rash up the front.

If he had not had the protection of heel guards his leg would have prolly been taken completly and a lot more damage done.

I watched gb_blaster break his ankle on Awk mountain this year because of not having heel guards. Ive also run over my own foot with a Banshee, due in part to my landing a jump too hard halfway up a hillclimb, and in part to missing heel guards. Very painful experience getting your leg skinned up by a sharp footpeg.

I run heelguards, or I don't ride.
