Getting an AWESOME deal on an Lt 250r sat

Check the Drive belt cover WELL for cracks, splits, and that the gasket is sealing. I went through a mud pit once, and found out after that I had a popped bolt on the cover and took in mud and smoked the belt. It was't hard to fix, but was a pain getting out of the woods, and waiting on parts for a week.

I know you'll go over it well, just wanting to let you know my experience.

Well there will be no Lt 250R in my future. I did however take the advice of somebody on here who has helped me a lot :) Paid $350 for a 98 Polaris trail boss 250. Doesn't have spark. Guy said it needs a spark plug cap. We'll see. The wife can ride this since it's an automatic with electric start. I love that it's a 2 stroke!

i know they are..... cause my gramps has one and i had a trailblazer when i was younger..... but why do they not have a real pipe on them?? i see a 4-stroke looking pipe on that thing

did the trail blazer have a pipe?? i remember we dropped a skirt on ours.... and that thing pulled good after the rebuild.

Well I got it fired up today. Replaced the spark plug cap and got spark. Drained the gas out (looked like coffee!) must have been sitting for a LONG time. Cleaned the carb, tightened and lubed chain, and put fresh gas in it and it fired up first pull. I let it warm up real good and decided to take it for a ride. It actuall feels pretty good. Couple things to fix though. Brake pads all around, rust hole in silencer, bent bumper, and swing arm bushings. All in all it's a really cool bike. It doesn't have reeds! It uses piston ports instead of reeds.
