Momma told me, when I was young (I’m pretty sure that’s a song) If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I was the first one to take YGR up on his offer. I have no problem sending him a cylinder, letting him do his thing, and having him showcase his work. The bottom line is, if I never get the thing back, I don’t give two sh*ts. If I did get it back, I would just donate it to someone who wants it. At least we all get to see what this shop is about and we’re doing it on my nickel. My offer was turned down. God forbid I see another builders work. I got news for you. I’ve seen it all and I’m not impressed. Soooo, we have a couple of you boys that took the bait. One of you got a hacked up cylinder back and the other is still waiting and can’t get in touch with his builder. My guess is this member probably sent YGR the only cylinder he has. Now we have a member of this forum that just got screwed by ANOTHER builder. It seems like every time I see new builders show up here, it takes less than a month for them to show their true colors. Unacceptable work, poor turnover time, parts never returned, or no communication. The problem is, when they screw you, I usually end up offering my services for free to correct their mistakes. PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO WHAT I’M SAYING!!! I will never bail another member of this forum out if he gets screwed by another builder. You’ll be on your own. This is the last time. If the cylinder never shows up, I will donate a stock cylinder to the non recipient and that’s it. What the hell, I’ll even pay to ship it. If you want a free port job and head mod, enter my holiday give away. I’ve been doing one for the last five years. Everyone got their stuff and was more than happy. I’m not here to win a popularity contest. I call it like I see it. If I see sketchy work, I’ll let you know. If I see bad advice, I call it out. Do I piss people off? Yup, and I couldn’t give a rats ass about it. KOR is how I feed my family, pay my mortgage, buy my toys, and pay my bills. My customers allow me to continue to do this. Why would I screw them? Some of these builders have a lot to learn. I have a great big target on my back. I answer at least 50 emails a day, spend at least two hours on the phone, start my day at 5am and end it at 7pm on a short day. There’s a lot more to this than porting cylinders.
