wow

I bet they don't make that sweet sound that the oil burners do. I was over at a guys house this week, he had been wanting me to ride his new (to him) 07 TRX450R. He pushed it out of the garage, fired it up and reved it a couple of times and got off it and said "ride it". Man, that thing was LOUD! I just had an HMF slip-on and stock head pipe but it was like instant head ache loud. I politely declined his offer with the explanation that I'd rather have my scrotum waxed than to ride that thing.

It's not as loud when your on the bike though, wearing a helmet sitting on the bike i get a nice, a tad loud, but still nice sound. But then people tell me they hear me for miles I:I:D

I'm not going to bust your balls on this, but you're basically saying "sure it's so loud that people can hear it for miles but when I'm riding it with my helmet on it doesn't bother me". I don't like the new 4 strokes, I think they are way over rated and were forced on the public when the manufacturers gave in to the liberal tree huggers, of course the manufacturers make profit based on a percentage of the price. Everyone in the chain who brings them to market makes more money on an $8K bike than a $6K bike. In all seriousness, though. I'm glad all the guys that I ride with have 4 strokes. When I stop to smoke, I can always hear them coming from far enough away to get my helmet back on and stay ahead of them.

I've rode all of the 450's except a KTM, I don't like them. After the headaches and cost of finding parts to keep my 3 wheelers running and looking good, I decided I wanted something easier and cheaper to own and ride. The Blaster was chosen over all the others based on the things that were important to me. 2nd to the Blaster was the Trail Blazer 250, that I'll end up buying when I find the right deal.
