Okay I was thinking about getting V force 4 reeds with a pro design intake or a boyeson one piece rad valve. Which one is better??

i would def suggest the prodesign intake over the rest. i have delt with a few of them and the prodesign is much more easilly worked with. vf's seem to be leading the pack in the reed cage battle

I plan on getting a lot of work done lol. Im going from a stock motor with a few upgrades to a aggressive trail port 240 with head mod, vf4 reeds, pro design intake, alum airbox, lightened flywheel, and 34mm carb! and a right bend !

go with a pwk if you can afford it,
if you decide to use a PJ, don't waste your money and buy it new, chances are the jetting won't be correct anyway, 99% the needle will be wrong. there's tons of used, way cheaper ones out there. clean and rebuild/rejet it yourself for way less $$.
i can tell you ...the lack of an idle screw on the PJ's is a pain, but i've got it and jetting down pretty good if you need any info.
and i too thought the pro-design was top of the heap in intakes, but a leak between the 2 sections, a new $25 rubber boot and pro-design telling me that is common after so many hours, has me leaning towards a UPP intake next time around.

yeah Ill prolly get one used. My quads been sitting for a while because I took off my clutch cover to ship it to you and it wont go in neutral when its off and I forgot how to put it on ):

They're built for two totally different applications. The moto tassinari Vforce reeds claim to have more flow. The boyesen rad valves claim to keep up velocity. More velocity is preferrable for bottom end power, more flow preferrable for top end power.

You should consider just new dual stage reeds (such as boyesen pro series). They're very good "bang for the buck" as an upgrade.

Yeah I dont know. I can see this little piece moving but it wont go gears it just clicks and clicks

well you should be able to watch it go in to neutral with the cover off. the point on the shiftstar that is missing is where the wheel should rest when it's in neutral

I took a video, but I can click it down forever and it clicks clicks and never stops I hope its not anything major. It worked fine then i took the cover off.

the clutch cover has a boss that holds the shift shaft in,
without the clutch cover on........
what are the chances you pushed the shifter side in, pushing the shifter linkage out too far to engage the shift star ???

Transmission engagement dogs require that they be moving to click into gear. Are you twisting the input shaft while you're trying to click into gear?
