Triple exhaust ports and what they are.

I'm guessing it works and all, but I'm somewhat skeptical of the gains simply because it ultimatley is funneled all into the same typical exhaust port you begin with, giving a similar affect to putting 3 tubes up to an air intake on a carb, but it's still ultimately limited by venturi size regardless of air flow. Now I realize they are 2 entirely different scenarios and how they function, but it's just an example because ultimately the area where the pressure is exiting is still the exact same regardless of how many ports you have...1, 3, 40, whatever. I would think you would need to use a larger expansion chamber in a pipe to reap rewards from it. I can see how it would work to an extent, but I'm a bit of a skeptic and just playing devil's advocate here. :D

What's the theory on it?

Well I'm being a skeptic to your rifled carbs n swirled domes... 8-|

I'm about to do another blaster jug and another yt175 jug. I will post my own diy. It might not be perfect but dont worry it'll be nasty when they run. We rode my bro's first triple ported yt175 and my jug/quad in the build. We r both in the tuning phase of the carbs mines quick but his is scary!

where do i get one of those??

i may have a project coming using a stock jug with a bigbore sleeve..ill post pics here later if i get the time and the nerve to go after it.

In your pants :p
I'm curious about this tool also, is it like a Dremel flexible extension or can you bend it and it holds it's shape?

paul i really dont think there is such a thing..unless he talking about a flex shaft attachment..thats one of the tools i use.. you can first drill the triple ports with a standard drill bit, then go at them with the dremel.

All i use is the dremmel flex tool. but a flex tool that would hold its shape would be kewl. . . . . . . If you take the lil flat round stones they sell in most rotary tool kits and bury it into the cylinder on the triples it wont blow threw.I usually start by drilling a hole towards the top of the triple in the cylinder. i usually take it an 1/8 to 1/4 inch in. Then i take a sharp bit and shoot from in side the exhaust to my lil hole in the cylinder. When i start to see shavings in the first hole i keep going till i see the bit. then i open up the port and channel to the exhaust. i try to keep close to the same angle the exhaust already has. Just my way , dont try this at home, if your scared to live outside the box or diy then you can eat my roost or send it off to a pro

Tater, back to that arguement again?

If everyone could afford an LA sleeve cylinder and have it ported, there wouldn't be a do it yourself section on the blaster forum....

On a side note, I went to the LA sleeve website and it shows the BBK cylinder price as being $923 now. I think I remember that being like $582 before... anyone else notice that?

I heard the LA bbk was going up but thats a kick in the butt. I still show 598. with this link. L.A.SLEEVE Store but i have heard when it is available again a big price increase is in the works.

L.A.SLEEVE CO.- Producer Of Quality Cast Iron Cylinder Sleeves & Liners Since 1945

That link is to the main website. You've got to click on ATV and then big bores. There are two options, blaster 200 to 240 which is them cutting a sleeve into you stock cylinder.

And then there is the blaster 240 (bolt on cylinder) it shows a price of $923 now.

Yeah, I thought $400 was a bit much for a "price increase". Hell the CT is now a deal, they port it and recut the head.

OUCH!! They said there was going to be an increase but thats insane. Now i feel more comfortanle selling you that motor i sold you yesterday. I would of scraped the idea of LA kit a long time ago if i knew that. It took some digging to find the real price and i see whay there hideong it and not updateing old info. I wonder if people who back ordered will have to pay that insane price?

I tried a few weeks ago threw e-mails to see when they were getting new stock and how much and they never replied back and i can see why now.

I can get a twin cylinder BBK for almost that price. Thiefs.

who is this poser above me postin like he owns a blasty. lmao. you need to change them pics man.

There is the last nail in that coffin. no way i'm ever goin bbk now

What you guy need to don't is send a friendly email to CP Industries Inc (they guy who makes the cheetah cub) I've sent a few. He makes a custom cylinder for just about evrything except a Blaster.

that would be cool but do you think it would come in below the $1,000 for the CT and the LA?
