wwholden, The way I'm taking what you are saying is that since stock jetting is fine for a DG system, it can't be making any more power than the stock pipe. Since the jetting stays spot on, the flow must not be changing. Where as, with another manufacturers system a larger main jet is required to match that systems increased flow. That sounds like an absolutely logical assessment to me. You also said that you have ridden a Blaster with a DG (I'm assuming full system) that was basically same but sounded better. I have no reason to doubt anything you are saying but where we differ is I rode the same Blaster with no other change except the exhaust system (an FMF and DG) on back to back days and the DG felt stronger than the FMF. Your logic is sound, and I'm sure your assessment of the Blaster is accurate, but did you ride that Blaster with the stock or another brand aftermarket exhaust within a 24 hour period of riding it with a DG? My real point is that although many people are quick to say DG is not worth having, few of them are basing the statement from nothing more than what they read, were told or assumed from DG not wanting to include their system in the published exhaust shootout. I'm new to quads but have ridden 2 stroke mx bikes here in the mountains of east Tennessee since before you were born. Back before power valved engines, all the bikes had was top end. Maybe what triplecrown said and my keep the engine spinning and the clutch slipping riding style is why the pipe felt better for me. Maybe my DG is older and of a different design that the current ones sold (mine was a "works" finish, bare metal and not the plated ones being sold today), I don't know. I clearly said "on my bike" the DG felt stronger. I feel your post was intended to discredit the results I have gotten, with my set up. For whatever reason, the accounts of my results was accurate and true. In the thread I started to ask for others experience of going to and from DG systems from other stock or aftermarket systems no one posted any real accounts of DG living up to their reputation of being worthless. With as many times it's posted the DG's aren't any better than stock, you would think there would have been many members posting their stories. And just so no one misses it, there is no way I would pay $300 for a DG system, nor an FMF or DMC. Depending on the engine I would spend a little more and go with the Toomey, CT or Trinity.
