Hey man, welcome! You're gonna get lots of opinions on this subject, but here's what I think. I'll try to stick with the facts to avoid confusing anybody. First of all, don't wait to re-jet now that the airbox lid is off. Bump the stock 230 main jet up to at least a 240 (You may want to start with a 250) to compensate for that UNI air filter and lack of airbox lid.
Second, getting rid of the oil injection is a good idea and when you do it, just don't forget to drain the straight gasoline out of the carburetor and fuel tank!! Lol. Get a good-quality oil to mix with the gas. Any 2-stroke oil that is ISO L-EGC or L-EGD and/or JASO FC or FD certified (there will be a certificate symbol on the bottle) has been tested and proven to be a quality lube. Yamalube, Maxima, AMSOIL, Bel-Ray, Klotz, Honda HP2, and others are all safe bets.
Third, while I like the Toomey pipe and run one myself, it is not the ideal choice for use with a Big-Bore Kit. I'm gonna get rid of mine when I get my Blaster ported this spring. These pipes work well on stock Blasters but limit you when you start modding.
IMO, you would be better off getting an LRD or Factory 7 pipe (F7 exhausts are actually cheaper than the Toomey if I remember correctly). Both of these pipes will perform on a stock Blaster but will also do great with a big-bore kit, should you decide to get one later on. Speaking of Big-Bore, skip the Vito's setup and spend the extra $ 50.00 on an LA Sleeve big bore kit. The LA Sleeve is superior to the Vitos in many ways.
Lastly, you can leave the stock carburetor alone while simply installing bolt-on mods (just re-jet as needed) but there is little performance potential for the stock carb. If you have the engine ported or install a big-bore kit, you'll need to upgrade your carburetor. I'd jet and run the stocker for now, and just get yourself a 35mm Keihin or Mikuni when you order the BBK later on. Don't install this huge carbuertor on your stock engine...it won't perform well and may actually cause the engine to blow due to lean running.
