Wow! I can't really give much input on HJR porting. This is the only porting I've had on a Blaster. The customer service was good and he did throw in a couple of extras for me. I must say he's not one to give up much info on how he's porting. I still don't fully understand HOW mine was done the way he said it was. Lol. As for the drag porting, you only want that if that's all you will be doing with it.

X2 on drag porting. Unless that's ALL you plan to do you don't want that, no matter what the high HP numbers say. You don't see John Force drive his Mustang on the street. You taylor you set-up to the (honest) majority of use. Just cause you want to "drag" your buds once in a while.................

I'll be riding on streets and fast trails. What's the difference in drag porting vs street? Higher rpm power band with drag porting and less low rpm power. I'm fine with that and if I do some trails I can always change sprockets. There shouldn't be any heat issues with different port jobs. Thanks for input I'll call both places tomorrow and compare.

An aggressive MX port would be the max I would go on it. Drag racing your buddy's is fun but any other ridding is going to kinda suck with a more aggressive port. I know a drag port sounds great but you will be sorry you got it after a short time. Gearing is not going to change that.

all the powaa in the world is useless if you can't get into that power range where/how you ride
and do us all a favor and stay off the streets ! unless it's legal where you live.

i say go for the BBK!!! my builder is in my sig I:I I:I i have a pretty serious port job and havent ran into any heat issues yet, the BBK does run hotter than my old stock ported jug but nothing too bad.

no pics of the blaster. will i need a new carb? if so what do you guys recommend. and what about a good exhaust? theres a cheap aftermarket on it now.

thanks
