need help choosing a 240 kit

yeah i know that. i was just going to put the top end on and do the rest of the work later in life. i dont mind tearing down a blaster motor. it gives me something to do. but i just want to know if i should get it for the type of riding i do. or what option i should do. either that kie, lasleeveco kit, or just send my 67mm top end out to get ported.
 
Get the firebreather kit. I would not be able to pass up a deal that good unless there was something wrong with it. And you dont need a new carb or exhaust, it would just run a lot better if you got a bigger carb and exhaust which you can just get down the road. The current pipe and carb will not hurt that 240.
 
that top end will NOT work without using the crank as its ported for a 4mm stroke so unless your gonna get your cases trenched dont bother> just send your head to ken oconnor and get it ported with a redesigned head for 150.00
 
i hate to pass up a deal like that, but 1bad442, i think thats what im going to do. just send mine out. all the comments on here, i think you guys made my mind for me. just send my whole top end out to ken or flotek, and throw in a new piston and rings.

good choice. thats is a screaming good deal on that top end but if u cant afford to trench the cases get a carb and pipe it just dont make sense
 
alright. what jet should i use for a trail ported cylinder with re designed head? i am running a 290 main with mods in my sig.
