That's a bold statement broham. My old boss has the exact truck we are discussing with a lift and big tires(7.3/c6 F-250), last time I saw it there was over 460k on the clock without any engine/ trans rebuilds. It is such a good truck that he is keeping to give to his son when he turns 16. Maybe I'll drive out to Port Orchard and snap some pics if I can get a free Blaster out of the deal.

lol, what year is it? I like the older fords its just the new ones are crap, there all plastic and just yuck.
 
Yes newer trucks have tons of plastic but they are more powerful, efficient, and comfortable than their predecessors. All of the American full size trucks (including the Tundra) are such good machines, the only way to know which is "the one to get" is to test drive them and see what you can afford. I thought you would get a kick out of this so I dug this picture up:

I'm going 5 mph here in a truck with 52k on the clock. We have one other Colorado in the fleet (same year/mileage) and the fuel guage malfunctions so often that you have to keep a can of gas with you so you don't get stranded. The local dealership hasn't had any luck fixing these issues. Also my engine (base 4 banger) whirrs more than my supercharged F-150 lol.
 
We bought a brand new king ranch a few years ago, that thing was crap... Really nice with leather and all, but we changed the tranny and everything before 100k! I think we sold it when the engine crapped out on us...

My dad's ranger has 297k right now. Replaced rear axle and tranny, anything else was just a tune-up... He recently hit a piece of steel on a road in ND so something is broke in the front end, but he already put 1,000 miles since then so its not too bad...
 
The non-turbo 7.3s suck they have no power and the bottom end goes out. If you want a non-turbo get a ford 6.9 with a 4 speed or Chevy 6.2 with a 4 speed. I had a 6.9 and it had alot of power and go mileage and the 6.2 is the same way. If you want turbo get a 94-97 12v cummins with a 5 or 6 speed
 
Get a 94-97 12v cummins! You can do sooooo much work to them! They are awesome too!

Dont buy a 24v though... They are good, you just cant do anything compared to the 12v!
 
got a buddy on my forum who has 400k on his nissan Titan, granted u won't find one for that cheap but they are strong and reliable trucks, I love my Titan

i plan on buying a 2 nd gen cummins with a 12 valve by the time im a senyor and my mom said no to the ford because she found out what the mpg was gonna be

Thanks man, I miss that thing. I bought it when I was 23 and proceeded to run my daily commute like it was the Isle of Man TT, it had to go before something really bad happened.
How do you talk your wife in to keeping so many toys? I want to bring home another boat but I'm pretty my GF will make make me sleep in it if I do :D

Nice, but it probably has crappy gas mileage too. I would get a four banger pick up, no power but awesome gas milage for a truck.
