nanty glo pa
ill just be ridin and then il go to stop and ever now and again my quad will get stuck wide open and keep reving and the key or killswitch wont shut it off soo most of the time i put it in a high gear and let go of the clutch and then it just bogs down

the only time ive had this happen is when i was running lean on my old quadzilla, the engine got that hot that it was pre-detonating so the fuel was igniting before the spark hence why hitting the kill switch does nothing.

might be wrong, just my thoughts :)

yeah better check the above mentioned with a "plug chop" (do a search on here for it if ya dont know how), before ya run it lean and seize it, also pull your throttle cable to check for fraying, and check your carb slide is in properly too

well it hasnt done it since i was messin with my throtle cause it was real tight but i was out ridin for a good while and it hasnt done it yet so idk if its gana stop wat sucked was i thought it was gana blow up cause the first time it did it was my first ride after i rebuilt it

yeah just plug chop it and see where your at with your jetting, like i say might be running lean and thats the last thing you want to do if youve recently re-built it.
When i was young my old one did it once and then never did it again so might just be a freak occurance because youve been pushing it hard but i'd def check it :)

Same with me i think it was that the mix was bad (dads fault lol) and i just got top end rebuild. ill clean my carb and check slide, and cables.

yea im gana try and do a plug chop tomorow cause i dont want it to f*** up and have to tear it down again cause its so cold out and my garage anit heated so that dont sound like fun lol

Sounds like it's going lean. Make sure you're fuel is full, check for a clog in the petcock, make sure the fuel line is free of kinks, make sure the fuel line is following a downward angle. If the line takes any turns up, it's not getting the correct amount of fuel. Could also be something in the cable. Mine does the same thing if I forget to turn the fuel on before I take off.

My Honda CR250R did that and it was the carb not clamped in the boot. The air filter tub was the only thing holding it .It would fun fine till the carb got jolted a little and break the seal from the boot.

next time that happens turn your gas switch of then let it die or then try useing the kill switch

hahaha kill switch dont shut it off and the gas vale wouldnt turn off the first time it happen so i just unpluged the hole gass line there was gas all over the road but it shut off lol
