How can I make my 97 blaster faster I have already bores it out to a 260 and have a 30mm Mikuni carb. What mods can I do for cheap with out porting, polishing, or boring. Any answer will be greatly appreciated.

Head mod
pipe
porting

also, i bet your blaster is .60 over, not a 260cc (because they dont make 260's!!!)

actual i think they did make 260 kits but not any more but id eather advance the timing pipe porting and no airbox lid
or head mod pipe porting maby a stroker crank and no air box lid

I'm calling Bovine Scatology on the 260...
Rechambered head, $60
Outerwear lid for the aircleaner box, $20
Leak test, $30 for the tool
Plug chop and jets, $30

I forgot to mention I have already taken off airbox lid, and have a full fmf pipe. Also my blaster is bored 1.50mm over which I have checked registers it at right around 260cc. And am not looking to port. So is there anything else I can do.

I think you have the 6 and the 0 backwards for the cc's man, not tryin to be a dick or anything ... If you have a stock jug even if its bored .080 over you might be lookin at like 206 cc's, definitely not 260 tho !

1.5mm over means it bored 6 over (you can go to 8 over on stock sleeve)... It does NOT mean its a 260cc......

I means your cylinder is about a 201cc

I don't think you gain that much with a bbk. I just did it cause I had to resleeve anyway. Ponder on this. If you dont gain anything by going from 66mm to 68.25mm then how can you gain a lot going from 68.25 to 72?

No clue, but its a bigger jump than the 66 to 67.5.... There had to be a gain somewhere, top end low end idk

I bet a good port and polish would compliment that 240 very nicely ! Somethin tells me you'll be doing that some time in the near future as that's one of the last big mods left to do on your motor. That thing would be crazy fast then.

how should i get more cc??

I have a 97 blaster and it has been bored .60 over and recently found out that only made it 204cc what else should I do and please give me an estimate of how much I would have to spend doing it. I have aftermarket pipe, larger carb, and just looking to mod the engine. Also does advancing the timing make a big difference.

port and polish??

Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to have my blaster head ported and polished and if it would add a lot of power. Also how much would a head mod cost and does it help out with power.
