cole454's Rebuild

Working on fitting my 450 heel guards. Got a steal on these. 2011 YFZ450R heel guards for $30 shipped. I'm kinda hesitant to do any cutting till I get my other set of pegs to do double's and get my nerf bars.

when your looking for banshee brakes dont throw out looking for some yfz 450 master cylinder and calipers too, they are a dual piston caliper unlike the banshees and sometimes they can be had just as cheap as banshee calipers and they will bolt straight up to norms spindles. the master cylinder will work on all of em. good list so far tho. good luck with the build

Will you post some vids of this thing i know the front tires are never on the ground its gotta be a sick blaster

looks great man really like it. also i just saw those bolts there and it light a light bulb. i used to run to the bolt store every 5 minutes to get a bolts/nuts etc well awhile back i just bought like a 5 dollar bolt/nut/washer kit and it really helps out when fabbing/working on things.

BTW looks really clean love it looks factory how clean it is but better.

Got my double pegs fabbed up with my heal guards. Just need to paint em and get some aluminum flat stock to fab top brackets for the heel guards.

I may find some steel bushings or something so its one piece. Dunno, really did to see what it looked liked and if it would help any. I don't want taller bars. I like low bars and tall stems.

LOoks like im the only one watching this thread?? how did you make those kick ups? the tooth looks very symmetrical.

LOL doesnt look like my sh*tty bar clamps came into good use. Whatever though. Im really liking this build. Keep up with the good work man!

i have them on my sons with nerfs, and didnt have to cut anything
clamps look kinda similar to how i did them, i think mine are rolled back further, making the "floorboard" part more flat ????
as my brackets are a little longer
although i did mine on a rolling bike, so it's hard for you to tell what position they're in, but you'll be fine
lookin good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i also see you added a return spring for the gsxr brakes, i have one too
but my son and 50 other dudes do not ?????
un-needed for that set-up on our bikes, but good insurance

Oh my, did you read your service manual before you started putting that engine together?

The engine can be reassembled in the right case half but it's WAYYYY easier if you start in the left case half and then put the right half on last.
