will this work?

21x11-8 mean the tire is 21 inches tall and 11 inchs wide and fits around a 8 inch rim.
a 8x8 rims is 8 inch tall and 8 inch wide.

so normally you want a tire that is wider than your rim. so you wouldn't want a 21x5x8 for you 8x8 rim.

alright my blaster has 8x8 rear rims with 20x11-8 rear tires on it. could i run 18x10-8 tires on my rims?

Hahahah. Im doing the complete opposite of what you are and it answered my question. I have 18x11x8 on now and was wondering if 20x11x8 would fit on them. Thanks hahah. I:I

rep given to you as well man:D thanks
but do you mean i could run a tire size of say 18x9-8 since it is wider than the rim?

so what do the numbers actually represent on the tire? the only one i know is the 8 on the end means an 8 inch rim.

sheeblast hit that nail right on the head on his post. btw, if your looking for tires, i recommend looking up artrax tires on motosports website. they are like $39 a piece and they are a pretty good tire. if your on any kind of budget, i'd suggest you check them out

you could, but good luck getting the tire to bead up. my 18x10x8's were pretty difficult, so it would probably be next to impossible to get it to seal enough to build pressure to even bead it

well what i am doing is this. i have a front rim size of 10x5.5 with front tire sizes of 21x7-10. the rear rims are 8x8 and tires are 20x11-8. i am wanting to fix up the tire sizes since my rears are almost bigger than my fronts and i am wanting more of a mx look. i was going to get either maxxis razr mx rear tires size 18x10-8 or itp holeshot mxr6 rear tires size 18x10-8. and dunlop quadmax sport radial front tires size 21x7-10.

a 20 inch tire will still be smaller than what's on it

the 20's are overall a better choice for just trail riding, but the 18's haven't been too bad for me
