What will I notice?

I'm getting boyesen power reeds over Vforce 3, because the boyesen are affordable on a budget. Are they worse than Vforce 3, and what kind of differences will I feel right off the bat? I'm getting the reeds, new throttle/clutch cable.

Can't blame you on the price issue, even used VF3s are about $70+. I thought the boyesens gave a little more pop on initial throttle response.

I asked the same question before I got my VF3's and I was told the POWER comes from the VF3 Reed Cage. The Boyesen's are just Reeds you use with your stock reed cage.

I love my VF3's! The throttle response is the sh*t!

Man you're going to gain like 8 hp and won't be able to keep the front end down.. lol just messin with ya. you might have a bit better throttle response but that's about it. I'm still waitin on that v-force upgrade too

with the stock reed cages, you can have them ported to allow better flow

Yeah, you might gain 1/4 to 1/2 a HP with VF3s because they did some work with the flow characteristics of the body (same for rad valve, noober), but isn't increased throttle response enough?

Personally, I'd like to see flow numbers and dyno charts before I'd be willing to say, "YEAH, xxxxxx reeds make xx HP!"

this guy dynoed a banshee with many different type of reeds.
stock reed cages that were ported with boyeson dual stage made the most power. it was 1hp more than VF3s
