ok, so you know that little bit of freeplay in the throttle cable before you feel the drag of the slide opening? well that for some reason affects my RPM's???? i dont understand how it can, the slide is not moveing. BUT sure enough it does, also the bike wont idle at all and i just cleaned the carb, pilot, new 250 main, all that good stuff.... any ideas guys? oh yeah and the bike absolutely riiips it just will not idle and that freeplay affecting my rmps is fcking with me...

so you adjusted both the idle screw and the handlebar throttle adjustment? try turning the idle screw all the way clockwise then tighten the handlebar throttle adjustment all the way in. the idea is that you want your carb slide to be raised a little bit or it will not want to idle.

carb is sparkling clean, yeah i adjusted both, air screw is 2 turns out 1.5 and 1.75 out had the same results. its just crazy, the blasty has tons of power (for a blasty) but it immediately dies when you try to stop. what do you make of the freeplay messing with my RPM's? like if i move the thumb lever that little bit of slack before your slide starts lifting actually makes my RPM's go up.... i dont understand how it does if the slide is not moving then what the hell???!!??

noob is the tor and the parking brake removed.....theres no way it should rev up if that slide is not moving...thats why it seems to mabe be electrical........or there is a airleak somwhere

the tors is, i guess that would be the next thing to try. are ya getting what im saying with the free play making my RPM's move? also a possible tore issue?

yea there is that tiny bit of play in the thumb throttle before it actually starts to move the slide...but as long as that slide is not moving it should not be reving up....did this just start outta nowhere......or did u put something back together and then it did this???

you da man freek, thats exactly what im talking about. yeah i put a new throttle cable on.

if this just started after u put a new cable on then i would take the cable out and doulble check it for any flaws or cracks....take it out of the top of the slide and just reinstall it......mabe something was hanging up or binding up....really weird syptoms lol
