okay im here to say i am sick of people ripping people off of buying quads i bought my quad and found out i had a lot of issues with it that the previous owner didnt tell meX(X(X(

if your pissed about somone selling u a f*cked up quad then leave ur story!! I want people to know that there are people out there that will do this to a beginner!!!

A lot of sellers will tell you or not tell you anything to get you to buy it. You really have to take your time and look over everything. It makes it harder selling but I've always told people everything I knew wrong when selling anything. I just don't believe in BS'ing buyers. It's just bad carma to do that in my opinion.

when i bought my blaster it had a air leak leaky carb and no air filter and only had 1 2 3 gears and dident tell me anything about ant of that but i did pay 200 for it so i guess i got what i paied for

Maybe not related? However I sold an Nitro RC car to somebody about 6 weeks ago for $40 and told him everything wrong with it. The guy who bought it from me posted it on craigslist about a week ago. In the ad he said he bought it brand new in 2012 for $385 (lie, I bought it brand new in 2011 for $420 after taxes). He says the engine is strong and fast, FALSE. I told him the engine has an air leak, and it does. He says there is nothing wrong with it, not sure if he performed maintenance after he got it but the whole truck was beat when he bought it from me. He is asking $175 OBO...LOL made me laugh...

The guy I got mine from didn't know much himself about quads, so i can't blame him too much, but I'm finding thing after thing wrong or missing. To tell the truth, I'm having a good time upgrading and just working on it.

Caveat emptor (pron.: /ˌkæviːɑːt ˈɛmptɔr/) is Latin for "Let the buyer beware"[1] (from caveat, "may he beware", the subjunctive of cavere, "to beware" + emptor, "buyer").

Been covered lots of times what to look for and if a person has a ??? they should ask BEFORE.
Don't worry though, not many can say the've never got jacked on a purchase, and half of those are lying.

Keep in mind that the "newest" is 7yrs old and the oldest being 25

I get a laugh out of the listings you see for ragged-out quads that say "runs perfect, but needs carb work". Yeah, sure. So let me get this straight... 8-|

I got screwed when I bought my first Blaster. I bought it from a guy who had it put up in a storage unit for awhile. When I got there to look at it, it took him forever to get it started. I just assumed it needed to have carburetor work done. After he got it going, it ran and test rode well enough. I shut it off, looked it over, and it kicked right back to life. He said it had "just been serviced and checked out by a shop" (don't they all?), and gave me a reciept for some work that had been done. Ok, he's trying to be honest, I thought, so I bought it for $ 900.00. Yeah, really bad idea.

The top end and front end turned out to be beyond worn-out, and I realized I had been screwed. I sold it for $ 500.00 a couple months later, and used that cash to buy another Blasty with kickstart problems that really had just been rebuilt. It, too, needed some work, but was in much better shape. Lesson learned. Check things out thoroughly, and walk away if sonething seems amiss, because it probably really is.

ive only been had once so far when I bought my 04 blasty kid rode the piss outta it and it had a really bad piston in it yet he got it to start I got it to start and it ran for 15 min and it grenade after I checked everything out already except rip apart the top end prior to starting it. goes to show ya the nicer something is it shows the owner has a pretty good idea of what their doing.

my two sence is if your buying a wheeler for under 500 bux you get what you pay for, and always be carful when buying check everything out yourself never take anyone's word for things.
