I have bean waiting on my motor for about two weeks now I check the tracking info every morning and a few times a day. I woke up today and checked it and it is on the truck for delivery. I almost wet my pants and shat all over myself when I was reading it. I have always wanted a nice quad and I think I am about to have one finaly!

I ordered the motor from ebay it is suposed to run but it does blow white smoke. I have always wanted a nice quad and one day I came across a blaster that needed a motor and I got it in trade. I am going to go through the motor when it gets here today and if it needs anything done to it I will be sending it to ken oconnor for some porting and stroker work. I am however hopeing for a good running motor just so I can get some ride time in on a stock motor before the insanity begins.

Here are the pics of my 220.00 ebay motor

Well so much for the happy I was fealing! This motor is locked up tight as an ants ass. I guess it will be comeing apart and getting a complete redo. I now feal like I got robbed for my money! 220.00 for this boat anchor of a quad motor!

dont stress, tis but a small problem! personally I would have rebuilt it anyway, that way you know whats happening. Pics when you get it open!

I dont see much wrong inside the cilynder other than the water getting in there since the ebayer seller left it out in the rain without the exhaust.

I think this crank was run dry becouse it has alot of blue rainbow colors on it and a bit over exceptable side play So I guess it is time to split the cases and rebuild it

You know what realy burns my ass is the seller said to me ya it runs great but it has a little white smoke coming out the exhaust.

What should I do with this motor? I was thinking a +3 crank and agressive trail porting. the bore is at 67.95 or something like that. I am in the market for a crank which does not require case trenching anyone have suggestions please lmk.

they blue on the crank is normal from the factory press when they assemble the cranks.

looks like it was burning pretty good jetting wise, but that cylinder needs attention, does it have a wear ridge?

There is no wear ridge I honestly baleave the rings caroded them selves to the cilynder wall. I am going to tear the bottom end apart and ship the cases and head to ken oconnor and have him trench the cases and mod the head. I am looking for a good cilynder that I can buy and send to him for some porting and boring if needed. He tells me that this thing should rip pretty good with those mods done. I hope this isnt against forum rules but if someone knows of a cilynder for sale that is around stock bore please pm me I need one.

IF it needs a crank might aswell throw a +3 in there same process and not much more. If you have the cash porting as well but idk if that carb would be big enough. Also i got a cylinder that has some life but needs a bore pm me if you want it.

$220 for that motor isn't that bad look at all the good stuff you got to work with.
I'd get a used jug with some bores left and get it ported.
If you want to throw some money then obviously a ported 240 kit will make you smile at a price.
Get a new crank, seals, and bearings and you will have a brand new motor.
