Sold the Blasty today...

Another trip to the dunes sealed the deal. My Blaster is great, but it's just not enough anymore. I've had it for 3 years, and it's been incredible for that time. No breakdowns, no issues. Just reliable ring-a-ding-ding!
Not sure what I'm going to replace it with yet. Leaning toward a YFZ450, maybe a Raptor 700R. Maybe, just maybe a sweet low-hour '06 or '07 Banshee will pop up in the spring when I start shopping around again.
I'll miss the Blaster, but it was time to move on.

Yeah, I love 2 strokes as much as anybody. Really. But after spending some time on some buddies big bore 4 strokes, I definitely am starting to understand the appeal...
I'd love a Banshee, or a classic 250R, but my whole life right now is toward simplifying. I sold my project car for a nicer car that I can enjoy without the worry, and I just don't have time to work on a project right now. I've lost the enthusiasm for wrenching to a certain extent, and would rather just ride.
I know I'd be wrenching on a 'Shee because in stock form, they are just so outdated chassis-wise, and the motor just wouldn't work in stock form for the tight mountain trail riding I do most of the year. For my one or two trips to the dunes per year it would be awesome though...
A '09 YFZ for example would basically work for me right out of the box.
I know I sound lazy, but it's not that. My time is very limited, and I'd rather spend it riding than wrenching.
We'll see how it plays out. I'm not ruling out anything at this point.

I completly understand what your saying. I wish i could do that but ill always want to upgrade. I just cant stop wrenching.

Rebuilds take to long on 4 pokes! I had a 250x and way to much work when it blew up, my blaster on the other hand only took about 2 days. I would go with a honda 700 those things are mean!
