shorty silencer

looking at a fmf pipe system on ebay. looks immaculate and its cheap. only thing is he shortied the silencer. anyone done this? just curious what it does for sound or perf. ill post a pic of it if u want but no links imma keep this deal for myself

Silencers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. A long silencer with a small diameter enhance the low to mid power because it increases the bleed-down pressure in the pipe. A silencer with a short length and a large core diameter provides the best bleed-down pressure for a high rpm engine. Too much pressure in the pipe at high rpm will radically increase the temperature of the piston crown and could cause the piston to seize in the cylinder.

sooo... that will make it a little more top end? obv. it isnt a bigger core but will shorter make it more top end then?

but looks good, hope you get it, and dont let that silencer scare you, it wont make that big of a difference or everyone would be cuttin them down, just pack it till it meets your sound requirements
l, as fed did, cut my LRD down, only because it stuck way the hell out, almost even with the grab bar, and i didnt want it gettin ripped off in the case of a stand up, but i didnt try it as it came before hand, so i have no comparison to give

yes fmf did make a short powercore silencer for the blaster i had one
