So I finally put it on ebay tonight, i set the reserve at £1000, fairly reasonable round here, hoping for about 1200, the plan is to use some of the money to rebuild the top end on my other then sell that aswell and buy either a yfz450 or trx450r, the price of fuel over here i really cannot afford to run a blaster, espesically while i dont have a job, plus i want a road legal quad so i can go riding with my dad since he just got a road legal 450 which needs a rebuild :D

Good luck on the sale, for sure! A 450 would be a blast on the streets (too bad quads aren't legal in the States), and good on the track as well. Just be sure to keep up with maintenance. A 4 stroke needs regular valve lash checks and oil changes, but they are just as reliable as a Blaster if properly cared for. I'd personally rather have a Blaster, which is more fun to ride IMO, but to each their own. I used to own a TRX 450r and sold it. I then bought another Blaster and had no regrets! :D

:-/
450= NO PREMIX, just unleaded fuel! 450r is a 4 stroke!

This is what im saying, 2stroke oil and fuel is a damn lot, expecically the little time it lasts! where as a 4stroke is just fuel so should be cheaper and geenrally uses less but its a bigger engine so im not sure?

Eh, it's a trade really. 4 strokes cost ALOT more to mod and maintain. Cams, timing chains, valves... Lots of things to consider. For maintence, a 2 stoke isn't a 'jump on and ride the piss outta it' either. I'd say they're close in cost. Figure for 2stroke oil here in the states. I pay 9.50 for 16oz. That's about 2.50 xtra a gallon. Over the cost of gas. But, that 450r will certainly drink it's fair share.

Well, either way i cant afford to run the blaster at the minute so it may aswell go, ill get a 450 and it can sit their if i cant afford to run that eitehr until i get a job, although 4strokes cost more when they do go, they go alot less often then 2s! :P
