I'm selling the Blaster.

Sending it to Ken to get a quote, if it's more that 200 ( Most likely will be ) I'm not getting it fixed. And I'll sell it as is.

I'm doing this for a few reasons, My parents are the ones paying for the repairs, and I'm not making them pay 400 dollars for something i did wrong. I want to sell it because it needs more work than just this clutch problem. And I'll be able to drive towards the end of the year and i need a car.

I'd like to get a grand for it, since that's what I've put in it. Hopefully more, Wish me luck. :-[

After i get a car, and a job, I plan on getting something, not sure on what just yet. I'd love a 450 but i don't have the money for that. I'll most likely get a 125 since they're cheapish, and i can actually ride them. ( Tracks, They're are no quad Tracks around here )

Just thought I'd update you guys on my situation.

too bad you aren't close to me. i would fix that thing for parts cost. and just a little something for my time so it isn't complete charity. lmao

btw what did you do?

good luck with your future endeavors, but also, good luck getting 1000 bux for a non running blaster.

That's my biggest problem.

I held in the clutch while coming to a stop, welded the ball and rod together in the clutch.

like i said i wish you were close. that is an ez fix. just time consuming bc you usually have to tear the whole bottom end down.

Yeah, i was planing on doing it myself, i started it, and it was a little too complicated and i thought before i screw it up further i might as well let someone else do it.

have you purchased the special tools and a clymers manual. if not..... yes this is too complicated for you

Have you sent it to KOR yet ?

It's going next weekend.

I was looking at the online manual, and I didn't see how i would do all that by myself without guidance, so i didn't buy all the tools i would need since i didn't have enough confidence to do it myself.

Come on mang thats an easy fix.
If your on the cheap, break the ball from the rod and polish both parts smooth with some sandpaper.
OR
buy the parts used. It should be way less then $200 even with doing the pancake bearing mod so it doesn't happen again.

your not supposed to pull in clutch while coming to a stop?

No that is completely OK. Problems start when you pull in the clutch with the rpms way up.
This happens to Banshees all the time but can happen to any bike with a rod and ball.
I've welded the ball on the 400 Blasty- thats what made me fab a shee pancake bearing on it.
Some call it a TZ clutch bearing because the Yamaha TZ track bikes come stock with them.

There has to be someone in your area from the forum or close to you that will lend a hand. If you had the parts this is like a one hour fix. Search it out before giving up.
