Rebuild on the "FREE SHEE"

looking good man let me know how this banshee rides and how different it is from the blaster good and bad

I will. With the limited amount of time I've had lately I don't know when I will be riding it. I plan on doing the heat cycles soon and then get it jetted in.

Well ladies and gentleman I got her fired up. Did one heat cycle and it sounds NASTY! There is some vibration in the handlebars, but I am told this is normal because it's not a balanced motor. It's not bad,I just noticed my brake lever vibrating. Getting ready to do the second heat cycle. Sound pretty sick! You know, typical KOR power.

We fired Dave’s Banshee up last week and I felt the same vibration in the bars. I was able to get rid of most of it by adjusting the jetting. He’s running the same porting you are with a 21cc cool head, CPI pipes, V-Force 4 reeds, stock air box and stock carbs. I rode it last weekend and it scared the living crap out of me. Funny thing is I know I can dial it in even better. I’ll be messing with it again this weekend. We’re running 25 pilots ( going to 27.5 next) air screw out 2 turns, Vito’s needles with the clip in the top position and 350 mains. It seems to have a small dead spot just off the pilot but pulls like crazy as soon as it gets into the mids. It’s almost like it wants leaner slides. Time to break out the files.

Nice. Well I did 2 heat cycles last night. I have the 27.5 pilots in with stock needles and 310 mains. The air screws are at 2 turns out. Seems to run pretty good. I will do the last heat cycle and sync the carbs with the tool tonight. Then I'll play with the air screw to find the highest idle.

Not during the heat cycles. I did the third one tonight. I will be putting the chain and sprocket kit on and torquing everything soon. Sounded pretty good though. Might be a tad rich with the 27.5 pilots. Air screws were 3 turns out and sounded like it could still use some more air. I'm not going to make any jetting changes until I sync the carbs and do a plug chop. It might be loaded up from 3 heat cycles of blipping the throttle.

Got all the heat cycles done. I have two problems though. The motor/bike has a lot of vibration. After doing some research I found that I am missing the two dampers/spacers that go on the motor mounts.

Second problem is jetting. I have 27.5 pilots in there now and no matter what I do with the air screws the idle won't change. I can even take them all the way out without a change in idle speed! I already synced the carbs using the sync tool. I'm going to order some 25's (stock) and some 30's. The bike fires up first kick cold using full choke. It seems to idle/run really good. Any thoughts?

Not really. Most of the pictures are of my 10 month old son on the beach. I left my phone in the room most of the time.
