Right ive sort of grown used to it happening but im curious to what it is, basically when i start the quad from cold whenever i go to take off it stalls, i pull clutch in (even when i double clutch) it just clunks out when i kick it into gear. its fine after the 1st stall but im curious as to what it could be. any thoughts? I can only think of clutch wear

Could be your pilot/idle circuit clean the carb really well then run it and yes could be clutch wear or it's just out of adjustment with the clutch in and you kick it down to 1st does it clunk?

carb is so clean as I got the 240 recently and i was constantly re jetting and cleaning. Basically its just when its cold and i pull the clutch in and push down for first it clunks out like i havent pulled in clutch. yes I let it warm up every time.

have you tried adjusting your clutch at the lever on the bars yet? if not try it and see what happens, you could just need a little adjustment

Your transmission fluid is transmitting the torque of the outer hub into the frictions and inner hub even though there isn't any pressure on them.

Viscous coupling... like a torque converter.

Let your quad warm-up a little more before taking off, pull the clutch in for a longer amount of time before trying to kick it down into gear, change your transmission fluid to something thinner, or replace clutches and do away with the wave washer (if you don't already have an aftermarket clutch)
