Quadzilla

I talked to him again today and figured out why he is selling it. He is my age, a teenager. When he got it he tried kick starting it and he almost broke his leg from the recoil compression thing that happens. He couldn't kick it for a while after that. He also does not know if he is capable of doing the clutch repairs on it, in his words "it could be the clutch, or could be the transmission, but it shifts through all the gears fine." I will check it out saturday but it sounds like he will not go down much farther then the $1500 range. He said "I will have to ask my dad if I can go any lower" ahhh great. Negotiating with a teenager still sucking on his mom's tits....perfect

Well, If mom is sexy....Just kidding! He probably paid too much for it and wants to recover some!

i know all about zilla kick backs, and they f*cking suck.

heres how you start them, keep the ign switch turned off, have choke out, roll it over 2-3 times slowly, roll it over until you are just over the compression, flip on the IGN and kick it. when you do the real kick you better be dedicated or it's going to come back

Thanks again!

Here is a video of him talking about his zilla

Looks sweet larry! Mine was a 1980's Yamaha DT100, fun little thing.

Alright this quad is complete crap bucket. Just watched all his videos. Here are some examples of why

Looks like crap
Exhaust had a crack, rewelded
When he got it, it had no oil
keeps running it with starting fluid
put a bent tie rod, re straightened, back onto it
many other little things that he mentioned.

He bought it for $850, almost made it worse and worth less. And is trying to double his money..... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I want to smack this kid.

Every time I flip a quad, I fix it as if I were going to be it's owner and rider, the way I would want my bikes to fixed.

thats the same bike i learned on, a 79 dt100. got it brand new!!! and tore it apart to put bigger tires on it! my poor parents...now look at me, all grown up, STILL tearing it apart!!! lol

Sounds like more and more work & $$, less on return when you sell it. If you're just wanting to flip it won't make jack.

X-2 on repairs. I wouldn't trust a straightened tie rod (without reinforcement). If you're gonna fix to sell something, make it so there's nothing (or less) to haggle over.

exactly, when I sell my quads I make sure there is nothing wrong with them, or that I tell the buyers before they come what is wrong with it so they know.
