i just realized these are a decent price and am thinking of getting one, has anyone heard any good/bad news? would it be hard to find a good start point for jetting or is there referenced jetting for OKO carbs on blasters?
Opinions on OKO 30mm flatside?

IDK but they have a pretty good deal on ebay for a new 30mm oko for $70 and 10 main jets for $20.
i know, like it sounds too good to be true, i heard slick had some problems, care to chime in man?
Well slick was inexperienced in jetting if i remember right, I think it was ken who got it dialed in for him
There a nice carb. Same as Makunie. < I think I spelled that wrong but you know what I'm saying. The 30mm will fit in the stock reed boot but I used a reed spacer. You will need to mod the air filter boot.
I think there was some on here that ran it without the spacer but I already had one so I just used it. If your running the tors, you will need a new cable
I like the plug in the bowl to change jets. Alot faster to change the jets without having to take the hole bowl off.
yes, it uses keihin jets, and slick did have troubles with the chrome coming off his slide while he and ken were here at my place, which all that chrome his motor ate is prolly partly responsible for his latest troubles ???? if there was one place i wasnt gonna "cheap out" the carb would be it, spend the money and get a good carb,

hmmmm well the money is kinda a limiting factor, and brando has had his for a while and loved it, did slick have his lean or something and it dried up. or was it just manufacturing default?
i been running one and it workes great. had a 58 pilot and 155 main with mods on my sig. fit the stock airbox and reedcage boot. kinda a pain to get it on the airbox side but it will fit. i just got an 35 for mine so i have the oko sitting now. only used it for about 4 months and had no problems with it. did have to get a cable for it too...
slicks chrome peeled off after just heat cycles and a few rides, i dont beleieve his jetting was off, ken and i just kept trying different jets till we also found his inner part of his vf-3's was flopping around because of a reed spacer behind it, instead of in front, apparently they need the intake pushing against them to hold that in place??, then after we found the slide peeling, we threw my sons carb on so he could ride, not sure what jetting he ended up with on the oko
thanks a lot for the input awk, and everyone in particular, it isn't happening right aaway, and with my bike background i will prolly switch to a twist throttle at the same time
it was whatever cable vitos sent me. i was going to keep it as a backup but had to completelly redo my intake to fit the big carb so ill sell it if you want it. 40 bucks and shipping sound ok? pm me your number and ill send u pics of it tomorow if you like...
