    Press the "Firefox ⇩" button. Go over and click "Options"
    Click the Privacy Tab in the Options window.
    Firefox will: Never Remember History
    And then also hit "Clear history now" and check everything, then clear it.

    Now on every exit, all history will be cleared.

    I only have 1 gb of ram running windows 7 ultimate with aero styles and the new firefox. Just be sure to keep your ram clean. Run disk cleanup often and make sure to set your firefox to clear all history every time you exit.

    I run Firefox 4.1 with Ad Block Plus and LastPass (it is a password security plugin that saves all your passwords on to an encrypted, high security server. Also has autofill and autosign in features). I'd suggest it as well. Doesn't slow down browsing one bit and I know my passwords are safe. As for responding issues, my firefox crashes MAYBE once a month. Not bad at all. And generally, it is from Flash Player.

    Ad block is great, if you don't do Faster Fox (it's under development) definitely do ad block.
