Im looking into getting a GPS for my truck.I don't know alot about them.I'm looking for a good one for $200 or less.

i have a TOMTOMone...ive had it for like 3 yrs I think and havent had any probs with it... you can get it at bestbuy now for around 130 or so. check out bestbuy...they got some decent deals...
Dude, just get a smart phone. I've got a droid (got it for free with an upgrade, when I made my brother pay for his phone) and it has free gps that works much better than map quest. It's great. You can search for stores and stuff, closest gas stations, and I think even find the cheapest gas stations too. Pretty nice. I don't know about the other gps' but the Motorola Droid does everything.
as a matter of fact if you look at there weekly ad for this week they have the TomTom XLS 340S on sale for $99.99...says that $70 off w/ a 4.3" display...

I think it was possibly because whoever it was didn't update the maps on the gps, but with that said it still should have been at least close.
yeah I knew my dad uses one for work so I asked him which kind he had and if he liked it. he said he has a garmin and he doesnt like it. he work in Wash. D.C. and he said it tries to take him down one way streets all the time so he has to find his own way. he said sometimes he just takes his personnal TomTom and has no probs...
I have an Alpine gps, it works great. My dad has a garmin, and when I drove a truck over the road I used a garmin. They both worked great. Never used a tomtom but they seem to be good. Stick with a big brand and you shouldn't have to many issues at all as long as you keep it updated
