For those who got 4,7 and 10 wrong, this may help in the future.

Question 4.
If the voltage regulator fails?

A. The motor will not start.
B. The spark will advance.
C. The headlight bulb may blow.
D. All of the above.

There are 2 separate circuits in the Blaster electrics, one for the ignition and one for the lighting.

The voltage regulator is in the lighting circuit and regulates the AC voltage to around 13.8 volts.
Therefore if the regulator becomes faulty the headlamp may burn out due to excessive voltage.

The voltage regulator has no bearing on the ignition circuit.

Question 7.
Changing the pre-mix ratio from 32:1 to 25:1, without adjusting the jetting, may cause?

A. The motor to run richer.
B. The motor to run cooler.
C. The motor to run hotter.
D. The motor to sound louder..

This question caught out quite a few people.

Changing from 32:.1 to 25:1 you add more oil to the mix, therefore the fuel content will be lesser.

More oil = less fuel = leaner mix = hotter burn.

It is a misconception that if you add more oil that you run richer, yes you will run oil rich but the motor may run hotter due to the leaner AFR.

Question 10.
On a stock 2 stroke motor the spark generally occurs?

A. After TDC.
B, At TDC.
C. Before TDC.
D. Whenever it feels like it.

Spark generally occurs before top dead centre.
As an example the timing for a stock YFS 200 motor is approximately 6deg BTDC at idle advancing to 16 deg BTDC at 3000rpm.
