ok, i went ridin today for a real long time and it sounded fine, but once it got warm it would make a clicking noise when i let off the gas or kept a steady throttle at 50mph, sounded like a marble in the topend, do i need to worry, could it just be from my jetting being a litlle off from the colder weather??????

you shur it's not a noise from your chain or some were wierd that your just relating to your motor? beings your only relating the noise to a ground speed not your engine speed i'm having a hard time believing your motor is making the noise, if your motor reved up to go 50 makes this noise it should make the same noise at the same rpms in every gear unless it's something in your gear set or clutch that's making racket at this speed, have some on help you by riding along and listening to exactly were the noise is from or if your concerned about your motor tear your top end apart, an hour and a couple gaskets in trade for piece of mind that it's not going to blow up and cost a lot more

Man that noise could be a lot of things. Don't really know without hearing it. I would take my flywheel cover and clutch cover off check to make sure there isnt a loose bold banging around sometimes a bolt can stick to the magnets in the flywheel and rattle around when u r running iono just a good place to start.

im with ya there....all you can do it check everything till you find out whats wrong or bad...

it's probably detonating.. did you rejet for this colder weather? if not it's lean... that drives cylinder temps up and it'll start detoanting.. if it sounds like a marble in there.. thats DEF the issue.

thanx guys, would a blackend spark plug end mean detonaion, to come clean, no i didn't reject cause i only rode like once, i will also check in the flywheel cover when i do the +4 timing.

can it hurt the topend by detonating????? also, it has done this before in the warm weather, i run 92 octane, the chain is fine, it is coming from the engine, i'm thinkin prolly in the flywheel cover.
