do i need to re jet? i got boyson power reeds and like a 3/8 spacer in it seems to run fine but would rejetting be a good idea it doesn't start first kick like it used to? rep points to any real answers.

definitley go up a size or two on the main jet. With the mods in your sig it can't be stock jetting!! Also, you may need to move the needle clip down a notch...depends on how it's running, if it acts funny when you let off the gas, move the needle up (put the clip down lower on the needle to do it). You could also put a pilot jet in there that is bigger than stock if it's got that in there too like a 35 pilot at least.

yea it does act funny it revs high some times others its good i've never checked the jetting main or pilot i've never gotten into the carb because its just a new problem to deal with but i do beleave its stock it will have more power huh?

Oh damn!! There are a lot of variables in jetting, but I'll try to give you some baseline advice to start from since you're close enough to me and have a close enough setup that our jetting should be similar.

First, clean the air filter. You always want to start with a clean air filter to jet. Also, go get 3 or 4 new spark plugs and use a new one. Put fresh gas in the tank, whatever octane you usually run.

Grab a few main jets from the stealership, they're only a few bucks each. I would get from about 250 to 320, and get the next size up on the pilot jet, 35, and maybe a 37.5 too, but the pilot shouldn't be a big issue.

You're going to want to do one thing at a time in terms of changes in the carb, so you'll be taking it off a few times. You'll get good at it!! Grab a golf tee, turn the petcock off, pull the gas line off the carb and plug it with the golf tee so it doesn't leak. Drain the float bowl into a cup or something so that you can reuse the gas, or dispose of it, whatever. Unscrew the two carb clamps and pull the carb off. Remove the float bowl (the bottom part). There is a brass bolt looking thing (the main jet) sticking down in the middle of the carb. Unscrew that, don't lose the washer and that plastic thingy that it holds on. Throw a 290 main jet in there. Put everything back together and see how she runs. It should be a huge improvement, but probably not perfect. Get it warmed up and run the motor up high with a brand new plug and then cut the motor when it's all revved out and pull the plug (careful, the head will be hot!). If it's a light brown color, you're good. If it's dark colored, you're too rich, and if it's white, you need a bigger main! There shoudln't be a whole lot of color on a brand new plug, so post pics for help if you need.

I am going to assume that you'll also need to change the needle clip position. Pull the carb, unscrew the top and remove the needle clip holder thing, and then the needle. There is a tri-clip that should be in the middle clip position. To raise the needle, put the clip in the next position down towards the bottom of the needle. Careful the clip doesn't go flying across the garage when you pot it off!! You will probably want the needle clip below the middle, maybe even at the bottom. You'll get better throttle response as it gets to the right place.

Oh, forgot about the air screw, 1.5 turns out to start and mess with it a little to get the idle right, along with the idle screw at the top of the carb. I keep my idle low as I don't really idle it much other than if I have it choked and warming up. I'm used to the old mindset of making a 2stroke not able to idle so you need to keep it revving to keep it running.

If you can't get a good idle, change the pilot jet to the bigger size and then re-start the tuning process from 1.5 turns out on the air screw.

This is just a baseline to start from. You'll probably have to play with it a little bit, but you should be at a good place right there.
