Hello all, new to forum, just picked up a black and red 03 tonight. Might try and put up some pics soon. I'm using mobile internet and still learning my windows phone.

I been away from atv's/dirtbikes for about 15 years, joined the army in 2001 and got out back 2011, did 4 tours of Iraq and had enough. Figured it was time to move on with life, hopefully start a family some day.

The blaster is stock but has no taillight atm, seems to run pretty well but I need to clean up the carb, doesn't want to idle without feathering, no knock or detonation that I can tell, but I'm no expert.

Whilst you have the carby off cleaning it, perform a leak test to see if it is airtight.

Thanks all and this definitely seems like the place to be to find any information I might ever need. Looking forward to having some fun myself, glad to have something with a clutch again. I have been using my uncles 05 sportsman 500 to get to work and am glad to have my own now

Thanks to all again, might have to start with photobucket again, I have been using imageshack for quite a few years too. Got to do some looking over the wheeler earlier today and already am working on a pretty good parts list. Seems to me that one of the prior owners replaced the hydros with the older mechanical brake system. Not really concerned about it though, snow will be flying soon so I'll have plenty of time to get everything in order. Got to get my hands on the service manual and wiring diagrams, took the front plastic off today, the one with the headlight, and had a black wire that is exposed, not sure what its for. Couple of missing bolts and screws for the plastics and one of the lower front bumper bolts. Paid 750 for it so not complaining that its not perfect

Thanks much, just ran across the wiring diagram and can easily save that on the phone, the service manuals were another story. I can open them and see the first 5 pages or so, but clicking the button in the upper right didn't work to download?

I give up on trying to post pics, this windows phone is wanting to find its way into the lake. I send images from the phone to SkyDrive, log into SkyDrive and they're not there. I log into imageshack and hit upload, click on browse but nothing happens. No idea what the filenames are, more or less the folder list to get to the pics
