New Guy from NC

Hey guys just wanted to stop in and introduce myself My name is Darren Im from western NC. Picked up a 91 Blaster a few weeks back and been using this site and working a whole lot on it fixing it up. The guy i bought it from had neglected it badly and it was in rough visual condition. However mechanically it is solid as a rock and runs like a champ. Currently it has a DG silencer, a hydro rear brake, and a twin air filter with the lid still on. I have deleted the oil injection and TORS already. Anyway here are a few pics from the first night i had it and was tearing into it. Ill try and get some more recent photos as it looks much better now.

Thanks for that link ill have to try that. I already got them lookin 10 times better by scraping them all with a razor blade. Unfortunately what you cant see in these pics is how someone tried to paint them white and failed miserably so i dunno what im gonna do cuz im still not real happy with how they look

Welcome to the site. Got yourself a pretty rough one. I guess you cant kill an ole blaster. Trailer hitch and stored outside for yrs and still runs, amazeing.

Welcome, where in NC are you? I'm just across the state line, not far off I-26. I'm a little over an hour out of Ashville. I've got a pretty good set of white fenders, that I would make you a deal on, if you are in driving distance. It would be cool to have a Blaster buddy close enough to get together with.

Hey thanks everyone for the welcome and ya you cant kill this thing it runs like brand new. I have taken the trailer hitch off im not planning on towing anything lol.

dksix i am in Boone in the northwest corner bout 25 minutes from the tennessee line. Thanks for the offer but i have gotten them lookin pretty good since these pics were taken. Were probably over 2 hours apart unfortunately but we go ride in different places all the time so in the future ill let you know if were planning on headed out near asheville to ride. Also if you know of anywhere out there lemme know and we may come check it out one day my brother also has a blaster and my cousin has a YFZ so were always looking for new places to ride.
