So after my first pair of blasters, 1 kicked the bucket, and sold the other, I just picked up this 1989 Blaster for $600, it runs and drives perfect, but needs a bit of work. It has 2 new RAZR tires on the front and decent rears (don't know what they are) and a sweet sounding dirt bike exhaust.

I came up with this list of stuff it needs:

- Rear brake pads
- Possibly new rear plastics, not worried about that though
- hand brake lever
- Light/kill switch handle bar control

If anyone has this stuff I could buy for a decent price that would be good. Its not immediately important though, but onto the pics:

id love to get my hands on one in this shape, with a good engine and tranny, for my wife, plus it would give me another one to tinker w/ and fix up..

Yea same lol

I want to be able to gradually fix it to mint 1989 condition, then mod it. Ones in this shape are relatively hard to come by.

Nice score! Wow, that is one UGLY exhaust, but so what? It runs and rides! Might want to upgrade the exhaust sometime soon, but that's a good buy for $ 600.00! I'd love to get one in that shape for $ 600.00; my neighbor thought he got a good deal on a Blaster for that price, until we got his Blaster's engine running and found out that the crank bearings are on the way out...

I'm going to cut it off and straighten it out, and level off all the sh*tty parts, it will look 10 times better lol It sounds great and seems to work good with the motor, so I'm going to keep it for a while.

How do you know if the bearings are going? what sounds?
