will someone lead me in the rite way cuz im ready to cut this quad in pieces.. My motor isn runnin at this time but it did..i dont know how to tell if the crank is okay and relly dont have the money to take it to a shop..i like to do hands on..i got the jug off and most of the other stuff just can get the magneto off which i plan on gettin a puller just want a ruf idea on wat i got myself into and how much to rebuild the whole thing..

Do you suspect the crank is bad? What did it do before it stopped running? Did you run it out of oil , did you make ANY intake or exhaust changes without rejecting the carb? Including remove the airbox lid , or drill holes in the airbox for more airflow?
Can you post pictures of what the piston and the bore and the head looks like .
hard to tell without more information. Did you do a compression test before tear down ? Or a leak Down test? , before the tear down , how hard or easy was it to kick the motor over , if you could cycle the motor with the kicker with your hand , or it felt like you have no resistance , then you needed a new top end bore and hone .
More info is definitely needed boss.

my best advice is to get yourself the downloadable manual in the General section. once you have that, follow the step by step procedure and if you handy you will figure it out! you can test the crank by hand for up and down play once you have it at TDC. Pull on the crank up and down and check for a wiggle. left and right wobble is fine, you need to measure it however and make sure the runout out is within spec according to the manual

That manual is. Must! Look thru that and we're all here to help.

And poke fun...don't forget that. In the end though, a lot of these fellas will definitely help you get it straight. Look in my sig and there should be a link to the manual in pdf.

Cuz it didnt run! Cmon guys read the thread! LOl

Yes we got that it didn't run. Now for the million dollar question, why didn't it run? Your choices:

A. Low compression
B. No spark
C. No gas getting through the carb
D. THE MILLIONS OF OTHER THINGS THAT COULD MAKE THE ENGINE NOT RUN THAT YOU ARE NOW UNABLE TO FIND BECAUSE YOU TORE THE ENGINE APART!

That is all
