I just did mine yesterday. They turned out pretty good, I just used a heavy cut off wheel on a dremel. Good luck. show us some pics when you get it done.

I've got the same problem when I race. I went to wal-mart and picked up some knee pads that attach with velcro, I wear them under my race pants. they make a world of a difference! No more bruises
