I'll post my rear tire size later, but what I have just clears my footpeg guard, currently have stock sprockets (05' Blaster), and what i'm looking for is better bottom end, but not crazy low ratio, I idle in first gear alot when i'm hunting and don't want to have to work the clutch so much. Thanks in advance for the help, GatorI:I

if they nearly touching your heel gaurds, you probably have 22's on the back, great for ground clearance, to compentsate and inprove bottom end put a smaller sprocket on the front stock is 13 tooth so put on a 12, i think going bigger at the back is also a way, stock is 40 there so get a 42, either or, not both. try it with either front or back first.

I've messed with tons of gearing to get the low end to pull it's hardest without poppin wheelies every gear. Long story short and granted this on a +3, I found 13/42 to be the best for trail riding. Keep in mind that dropping one tooth in front is equal to adding three teeth in back and vise-versa. I have riden with a 12, 13, and 14 front and granted this is for rough trail riding the 13 was best ... the twelve is good if you want to be on two wheels. I would suggest a 42 but you are right that it will be running right on your rear guard depending on type. I am currently running an AC rear guard and it is a trade off, it gives plenty of room for a 42 but does sit low so gets it's abuse. Stay away from UM guards I've broken mounts on two and it won't fit even a 41. But yea my suggestion ... stick with the thirteen and go up one or two in rear for better bottom end pull

i agree with beets, i run 13/40, and love it in the rough trails, i got a 14/40 chain gearset, liked the top speed increase but hated it in the trails, so threw a new 13 back on
my +2 t-rock swinger took away a little of my "lift on command" at speed for skipping rocks/logs/puddles
but i'll have mr oconnor take care of that for me over the winter with some more motor work
