My new "red 98 blaster" Is really a purple 95 blaster!

So I decided to strip the paint off of my plastics and after a couple cans of carb cleaner later It went from this:

Also, I looked at the serial number and it is a 95 i guess the guy didn't know much about what he had. They only made the purple and yellow for two years right?
 
Wow the purple looks great , I'll trade you white for purple haha , my ole lady told me i had to post the part about the trade haha , Purple Rules man !
 
There was a little can of polish we use at the shop for cleaning up metals and fiberglass so when i was done with the removing i smeared it all over the plastics with my fingers then took a microfiber cloth and buffed it out. It turned out way better than I expected. And tell her I told you to get off the hip and buy her some! haha

haha nice , She doesn't want the plastics for her quad , she wants them on mine haha , mine is black and red , the purple wouldn't match i told her haha

Oh! It'd look wild on yours. I still have the red grips that came with it and they look out of place now haha. The polish is called Major Shine. We sell it for marine use for $8.95 a can.

Thanks! It definitely did. It cleaned all of the old paint smudges off and everything. The plastics are scratched up but you can't tell from a far. No big deal though because i ride trails anyways. I just wanted it to be all original and the paint was chipping already in multiple places. I wouldn't paint them because of that reason anyways.
