How does the LRD exhaust perform? What are the characteristics of the powerband? Has anyone used different pipes and can you give me some advice on picking a new pipe please. I'm getting rid of my 15 year old FMF. It performs alright but it hits my new IMS tank so it's gotta go. Plus I'm hoping the newer designs might perform better. I'm looking for a right bend pipe like the LRD, or up for suggestions. I race desert so I'm looking for a pipe that would have a good topend hit. I think I'm gonna go with a vito's 12 port 240 kit when its time for a new topend. Thanks guys.

if you want a top-end pipe i would look at either a vito's fat bastard or ftz pipe. from my research these pipes are both a mid-top pipe and they will work really well with a big bore engine.

I think most people buy a pipe and bolt it on and think WOW, it's killer. Most pipes for the blaster are KILLER over the stock pipe. There are lots of choices. It depends on your riding style. The pipes that I like so far is the Shearer, LRD, Vito. I have not tested the latest LRD pipe or the dynoport
Any member is welcome to test their pipe at my shop.
I would like to collect all the data for all the pipes available for the blasty

I know all pipes are a great improvement over the stock pipe. Right now I'm running an FMF gold series. I just need a new pipe cuz it hits the new IMS 4.0 gallon tank I'm trying to install. I also think it'll be fun to see if the new designs create more power, since I got my FMF 15 years ago. If I'm getting a new pipe I decided I might as well get rid of my old FMF reeds and cage and get a delta vforce 3. I just did a top-end and am pretty impressed with vito's super stock piston. The ported piston makes a big increase in power. I think I'll do vito's 240 next time I need a top end. I know it'll always just be a balster and will never keep up with my 450r but I like the lil guy. I've had it since 93.
