I am trying to find a wider rear axel for my 1993 blaster, I race my four wheeler and most of the races im slidding aruond corners and such so I am looking to put a wider rear axel on it to help the stability. Any suggestions on where to find one or even any other cheaper ideas would be awsome...

thanks brandy

Have you looked into wheel spacers at all? That might be a cheaper alternative if you do not want to convert brake systems.

yep, wheel spacers are easiest, the ring style being the strongest, but possibly "iffy" for huge jumping, what kind of racing you doing ???
and i'd watch using that huge number plate up front, it's blocking much needed air from our little air cooled motors
it looks like you've already flipped the front rims ???
how bout some bigger/better pics of the blasty ???
and "chics racing" pics are always welcome too..........hahahaaaaaa

We used the Durablue "ring" ring spacer with really good results the last 2 season... But yeah stay away from the "stud" spacers.

banshee axle is the most reliable and cheapest. I run 20x10x11 rear razrs on douglas rims that are mounted 11 inches wide. The wider contact patch of the razrs easily gives me at least +2 on each side in the rear over stock in terms of track width.

i run the ring style spacers on the rear +5 inches no problems with them at all for trail riding they survived awk moutain lol

Would you all recommend a banshee axle over a g force? Im looking into the same thing no local banshee axles so i been looking online and to get a banshee axle is like 70 plus shipping so basically 100 buck i figured on just spending the extra 60 bucks and getting a g force?

If you are willing to spend the money, then yes, get the G-force.

Thats what I was thinking just checking I figured I might as well spend the extra $60 when I buy one to get the g force unless i find a steal on banshee like someone said $50 wouldnt be able to pass that up

With a banshee axle that comes with brake hub would I still use my cable brake setup and rotor or would that have to be converted to hydro. I dont see an install/whats needed thread anywhere on doing it? Thanks I may have found one for that lol

yes you can keep your cable rear brakes, all you have to change is the hub for the brake rotor

If you plan on racing, either get new a-arms, get them stretched, or something. Just flop the wheels back. You will blow wheel bearings like no other because of the extra leverage placed on the spindle. And from what I've seen, wheel spacers work great. I have yet to see any break and very few bend. Here's a link to some that people at my track use. Yamaha Blaster ATV Wheel Spacers
And yes that number plate should be moved or your motor might die relatively quickly. Hope the info helped. =]

yes ybmccall, banshee axles are a direct bolt on swap with the shee brake hub. or you can use a blaster brake hub with a spacer on the axle. not the best way to go but it will work for a while. but check your local craigslist or put an add on craigslist like i did and got a bunch of replies.
