uni....did you use the base coat for this stuff, it says it's supposed to make the chrome show up better, if ya aint puttin it over shiny metal??????

Damn- AWK that blasty is going to be Blingin big time with all that chrome paint. You might cause blindness!

looking good Joe. Somehow I just came across this thread. Never seen it before. Awesome progress. Keep it up man...

i think i'm gonna use that blue next time i have my bike apart. looks awesome awk, keep it comin

uni primed his first with a gas, oil, and heat resist primer then the metalcast,so maybie over bare metal or the metalcast primer it would look better

cant seem to find the chrome stuff in green, to tie in the monster grafix, and cant get easter egg outta my head, so the chrome colors went back, prolly just gonna do the normal urban camo colors, black, monster green and either white or a red/purple ???
but i'm definately enjoying this frame sittin on my bench, it's making my gsxr brake system fab's sooo much easier!!!
just got the motor back together yesterday, after having to pull the bottom back apart, i had a shift fork come outta place during assembly on my first try the night before, so nuetral ended up at 11 o'clock, instead of 4 o'clock, very frustrating, requiring numerous beers.
hope i got it right this time??
then realized i never got the extra pedal my buddy has for me, to replace the broken reed on the vf2's i got, and they went to the gncc races this weekend, so start-up may have to wait till monday,
i'm gonna drop this motor in my bike for break-in while i finish all the painting and re-assembly of this one

sweet '27, i'm liking the metal cast color, similar to the monster color, gonna check a few more places around here for it
rep for you

got this motor completely assembled last nite, waitin on reeds from my buddy tomorrow.............

ken oconnor found the previous owner already had some mild porting done, he cleaned it up a little, and sand blasted it while reboring it for me..............

dropped the boys motor in my bike last nite, got 3 heat cycles in, and doin last few now, retorque the head/base bolts, used my vf3's for now, till i get pedals for his vf2's
and also having some occasional kicker return spring prob's
but fires right up, idles and revs good, do a couple plug chops, and my first complete rebuild is goin for a spin????

awesome stuff there awk. definitely cool that you're swapping motors to do the heat cycles. its all good practice right? lol
